WTF Food Bowl?!?

We had a tough day yesterday.  Thank you to everyone who left such kind words.

Finn seems to be doing a bit better this morning. She slept really well yesterday and she took her meds just fine. I noticed a funny thing though. When I put her food in her bowl, I put a bit of water in there too, and she wouldn’t eat it. So I gave her the food dry out of my hand, and she gobbled it down. WTF with the bowl? With the water? We shall continue with the experimenting of how to get her to eat.  I have washed out the bowl now and hopefully at the next meal this won’t be a problem.

When I spoke to the vet about our lab results, I did mention the off-putting feeling I received from the reception staff.  He did say they are aware of it, and they are looking to hire another person to join their practice.  Thank goodness.

On a lighter note, head on over to the Blogville Chronicles today. Our column should be going up! Any more loooooove doctor questions you need answered, feel free to let us know!

My Peep Is Totally a Flake

Hewwwow, Finn here.  I’m back.  Sunday I just scratched the surface as to why my peeps were flakes, and I shall continue today!
Ok, this is mostly about why my Momma is an odd one, not just a flake.  So, she takes pictures of food.  Randomly.

Someone please tell her to stop!  She’s a little odd.  But she’s my Momma!
Tell me that’s flaky enough Sarge, they are getting embarrassed!
And, quite frankly, so am I…

I kid you not, this picture was taken yesterday at 12 noon, and we did give her breakfast!

Birthday Cake Recipe

Now, I’m not one for cooking.  I honestly can’t believe that I searched for, found, shopped for and baked a birthday cake for my Finn.  But, it was so unbelievably easy and she loved it.  I mean LOVED it.  After we gave her a piece, she climbed back on top of the stove to eat the rest out of the pan.

Here it is…Doggie Birthday Cake

1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup shredded carrots
1 egg

Mix flour and baking soda together.  Separately mix the honey, peanut butter, carrots and egg and then combine with the dry ingredients.  Pour into a round 8 inch pan and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Give Me A Slice…Please

Pasta

Every time someone asks me her name and I say it’s Finn, he or she will
respond, “Oh, an Irish dog.”  Truth is, I (Finn’s Momma) am 100% Italian.
So naturally, I would raise my golden to be Italian too.
And happily, Finn is showing those tendencies.
Good girl.
