Remember, Momma’s a Yankees Fan…

Yes, that would be Finn wimpering because she couldn’t get the hat….

Munch, munch munch.  Sometimes I gotta let her break the rules.

Big Weekend, Biiiiiig Weekend

Big weekend here in NY.  As you may recall, Mom’s a Yankee fan, and therefore, so is Finn.

I mean, we went so much as to take her reaction to Derek Jeter’s 3000th hit, and as you can see, she was glued to the tv.

Press conference with other teammates

Replay the hit over and over and over…

The problem is, Dad’s a fan of these guys…
A really big fan.  Really, really big fan.  Mom even went so far as to have a special cake made for Dad on their wedding day.  Thank you to Mom’s brother who had the sense to add a little Yankees flavor to the cake that day!
I know, I can’t believe it either.  And therein lies the divided house this weekend.  The Yanks are in Boston, playing a three game set, and the Yanks won last night!  We’re hoping they can keep it up tonight!

Doggie Social

Today we took Finn to the Doggie Social sponsored by Bideawee.  I didn’t really know what to expect  –  and when we pulled up, it didn’t look too happening yet, so we took it easy and walked around…

Then we came across an agility demo by All Fur Fun Agility and we decided to go for it.  Honestly, I don’t know who had more fun, me or Finn!  First we conquered the little hill…

Then we conquered the triangle…

Through the tire…

Through the tunnel

She did a great job – I’m thinking about looking into some classes, because she definitely had an awesome time!
Then we caught a glimpse of this on the way home – – skydiving!  A little too close to the highway, eh?
And as an aside, a big CONGRATULATIONS to my man, Derek Jeter, on his 3000th hit this afternoon.  We came home, made some lunch, turned on the game, and found out we had missed the hit by five minutes!  Oh well…

Let’s Go Yankees!

It’s a big weekend here in New York, and I’m glad Finn’s got her loyalty.
