Make Yourself at Home, Charley

All nestled in. He is quite the snuggler and cuddler!

Thanks for all of your suggestions on the poop issue. We have been giving him pineapple for just about a week now, so we will continue with that for a little longer.  We had a small success yesterday, mixed in with a small setback…Charley pooped in his crate in the afternoon…but didn’t eat it!

Thats good! Dr. Z was a bad poo eater and as I adopted her at 9 I wasnt sure how long she had done it but my vet said its easier to curb when they are younger

Well he’s definitely settled in, he looks very comfy.
Give him time with his problems, as I said before Annie grew out of the habit, we didn’t know her history either. Sometimes rescue dogs have “baggage” and it takes time to unpack.

Ahhh. That small success must smell a whole lot better in the crate than on Charley’s breath! We hope this means the end of Charley’s poop eating habits. Amazing what pineapple can do.

Well glad he didn’t eat that one! He does look very cozy there and peaceful while he’s not creating mischief. Seems a bit like Cocco 🙂

Hey buddy Sammy and Wally too – can’t wait to check out your post tomorrow. Sis Finn thinks everything on this blog should be about her. Humph. 🙂

Busy day so I didn’t see the previous post until now. There is also a powder to sprinkle on canned food or meat to deter poo eating but looks like maybe you already found a method.

Such a sweet face. Hope the transitional phase is almost behind you.

We hear that it sometimes takes 2 weeks fur the pineapple to work… IF it does at all.

You just stay right where you are, Charley. The humans can learn to work around us.

That is one comfy dog. I would say that the cup or crate is half full. It’s all how you look at it. Keep up the good work Charley.

Oh good! It’s nice to see the little guy so relaxed!

(p.s. – Mom (and it is most likely our computer) has been having fun with your comments link. The spot you can click is different every time. Today, only the “t” in comments was clickable. A day ago, it was a spot above the “o”.)

You’d think he’d eat the poop in the crate to get rid of the evidence that he did that. 😉

    He looks VERY comfie!

You know, I don’t think Charley needs any advice on the matter of making himself feel at home. He seems to be doing that quite perfectly already!

Stanley likes to eat his poops every now and again. I do not do that cuz it is gross to eat your own poops. Poor Charlie, we hope he stops pooping in his crate.

Pfft, why do dogs do that, squish their little heads in what look like to be such a uncomfortable position, Kirby does the same thing. He does look like quite the snuggler though!
