The Cranberry Bog

I had taken a random day off, and had googled some hiking trails in the area to see if we could find a new place to sniff around.  A cranberry bog!  Off we went!

Look at this place, just beautiful.

I believe this little area is what caused some minor damage to us – I noticed some

green pods on the leash, then on my pants, and then all over Finn’s legs.

We managed to brush them all off – I wouldn’t say they were burrs, but

they had little grippers and were a little sticky!

The bog had a small hiking trail which lead around it, perhaps a mile in total.  A beautiful hidden place to walk around and take in some nature.  So glad we went!

I don’t like those sticky seeds. Such a pain to brush out of Golden fur! Looks like a fun walk though. We’re there any cranberries?

Sounds like a nice place for a relaxing hike. We don’t like those picky things either – they hurt!

    Happy Saturday.

i visited a cranberry bog, and took a tour, when I was a teenager. I think it was in up in Massachusetts somewhere. I didn’t know there were any that let you bring a dog along! 🙂

What a pretty place you found! Did it have cranberries floating in the water? I get those sticky green pods on me too now and then. Annoying but at least they don’t hurt 🙂

    Waggin at ya,
    Roo

What a beautiful place. Yeah you have to watch for burrs, pods and seeds that can cause problems. I have heard that cheat grass is really bad this year because it has been so dry.
