Da Beach

I was taking Finn to a nature preserve, and we got a little lost and instead found this beach!  It was off season already, so I decided to poke around for a little bit here.

Salt marsh

Doing a little digging

Finn meets a dried up piece of seaweed…

…and is completely intrigued

We scared away some seagulls

I thought going in to the ocean would be complete chaos, but she had no desire to go in.  We have been in pools and lakes, maybe the vastness of the ocean was a little too much?  She didn’t even want to tap her paw in it.  The little laps of waves were a little scary too I think.  They were barely coming in and Finn was chasing them in and out and in and out.

Maybe next time!

“Love You Momma!”

“Love you too Finn”

How fun to have the whole beach to yourself! And so many new things to smell and explore, not to mention the seagulls to chase!

    Hi Finn,
We found you! Thank your Mama for us for allowing us to get here safely! We love your new blog on wordpress. How come you changed? (We don’t know much about wordpress. Maybe its better and we just don’t know it.)

How fun you found an empty beach on your adventure! I would have ran right into that big ocean. I just love to swim. Mommy said she use to go to Jones Beach all the time when she was growing up. She said that they had the best waves there. You look so beautiful there on the beach. We think “you do beach well!”

What a cool outing – we would SO love to visit the sea and play on a beach. Why do your beaches close – what does that mean?

Aw, that just means for the winter months the hours are shorter and there’s no lifeguard on duty. BUT, that also means us doggies can go run on them!

That looks like a fun place. Besides the seagulls, did you see any ducks? Maybe too early for migration. 🙂

My first comment on your new Blog!! Sweet!! I have never commented on a WordPress Blog, so this could be interesting!! First times often are…. 😉
It is amazing how many “water loving” canines are terrified of the ocean!! Just amazing!! It is because of the noisy, swift moving water, I guess!! ;op
Love, Raelyn…. And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE “Mystery Dog”!!

Hi Finn! We are glad you are our new friend! It looks like you had a wonderful time at the beach. I cannot imagine what a pig would do on the beach…probably eat up all the sand because he’d think they were crumbs 🙂
